Royalties & Streams
RoyaltyStream What is the difference? A royalty (NSR, gross revenue royalty, net profits interest) is a share of a property's production or revenue. It is usually registered against the claim and stays with the property when it changes hands. A stream is a contract with the operating company: the streamer pays up front, then buys a set share of one mine's metal at a fixed, lower price. It is the company's obligation, usually secured on the mine.
