FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (TSX V Symbol: AUX) June 28, 2010
Auramex Acquires Previous Gold Producer and Contiguous Claims
Auramex Resource Corp. (the “Company”) announces that it has acquired 100 % interest in two properties approximately 15 kilometres south of Stewart, BC in the Skeena Mining Division. The first, Georgia River, consists of eight active crown granted claims (132.3 hectares) and seven tenures (779.84 hectares). The second consists of 4,839 hectares of mineral tenures contiguous to both the above Georgia River property and the Company’s more southerly Georgie Girl claims. (An attached map can be viewed with the news release on the Company website.) Terms for the 4,839 hectares are $4,500, 500,000 shares and a 2% NSR with a $1 million buyout. The Georgia River property was acquired for 2.5 million Company shares.
A 2004 report by E.R. Kruchkowski, P.Geo., utilized results from 100 diamond core holes mostly into Georgia River’s Southwest vein, and calculated an historical resource of 122,951 tonnes of drill indicated mineralization grading 19.27 grams per tonne gold and 53,533 tonnes of inferred mineralization grading 16.89 grams per tonne gold. The foregoing, not being NI 43-101 compliant, should not be relied upon.
Over the years between 1913 and 1934, miners drove approximately 750 metres of tunnels, mostly along the Bullion and Southwest veins. The property hosts 18 veins, the Southwest being the most explored. Reportedly 500 tons mined in 1936 yielded 329 ounces of gold (0.658 ounces per ton), 410 ounces of silver (0.82 ounces per ton) and 7,302 pounds of lead (0.72%)
The two agreements are subject to Exchange approval. Upon approval, these acquisitions will increase the Company’s holdings to 35,750 hectares in the area known as the “Golden Triangle”.
