Cogitore Resources Inc. files Technical Re port on Resource Estimate at Scott Lake.
TORONTO, ONTARIO, January 7, 2010
COGITORE Resources Inc. (the "Company") (WOO: TSX-V) announces that it has filed on SEDAR a NI43-101 compliant Technical Report on a mineral resources estimate at the Company’s 100% owned Scott Lake project in Quebec. The resources estimate was prepared by Bernard Salmon, Eng., consulting engineer with Scott Wilson RPA.
All technical parameters related to the resource estimate are fully disclosed in the technical report. The estimate was done by block modeling techniques, using a minimum horizontal width of 2.0 metres and a Net Smelter Return cut-off of $80 per tonne. Highlights of the results were disclosed in a November 23, 2009 press release and are summarized below:
- inferred resources of 3.6 million tonnes grading 1.1% copper, 5.2% zinc, 0.3g/t gold and 36g/t silver *;
- approximately 70% of the mineralization is stringer-type, and several large portions may be amenable to less expensive bulk mining underground methods;
- both massive and stringer-type polymetallic sulphide mineralization remain open at depth and other directions;
- two key Cogitore intercepts, drill holes SC-30 and SL-91-105, are excluded because the intersections are deemed too isolated to establish shape and size. The Selco-Scott deposit was not included as most of the drill core from Selco’s 1976 drilling is no longer available for independent verification.
- Assumptions made by Scott Wilson RPA for the determination of the $80 NSR cut-off include a
US$0.85 Canadian dollar and the following metal prices: copper - US$2.50/lb, zinc - US$1.00/lb, gold - US $950/oz, and silver - US $15/oz.
The technical report also provides mineral resource estimates based on different NSR cut-off scenarios, as summarized in the table below:
NSR cut-off sensitivity Scott Lake Project
| NSR cut-off ($C/tonne) | Tonnes (inferred) | %Cu | %Zn | g/t Au | g/t Ag |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| $60 | 5,599,000 | 0.9 | 4.0 | 0.2 | 30 |
| $80 | 3,597,000 | 1.1 | 5.2 | 0.3 | 36 |
| $100 | 2,540,000 | 1.2 | 6.4 | 0.3 | 40 |
| $120 | 1,901,000 | 1.3 | 7.3 | 0.3 | 44 |
The report is available at www.sedar.com, and will be posted shortly on the Company’s website at www.cogitore.com.
