EMC ANNOUNCES C$213,000 PRIVATE PLACEMENT

Reno, Nevada – March 11, 2014 – EMC Metals Corp. (the “Company” or “EMC”) (TSX: EMC) corrects its news release dated March 10, 2014 to clarify that the Company has entered into subscription agreements with certain investors to issue a total of 8,533,260 common shares of EMC Metals at a price of C$0.025 per share for gross proceeds of C$213,331. No fees will be paid in connection with the transaction and 87% of the total shares in the placement were subscribed for by management and insiders. The private placement has not closed, and closing is subject to approval by the Toronto Stock Exchange.
